Evertaut
Founded in the early 1930s Evertaut made steel chairs and stools from their base at Walsall Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham. Originally supplying chairs to the postal service they branched out to making chairs and stools for the the army, government as well as offices and laboratories. In the post war years they began making other steel furniture such as cabinets, shelves and other varieties of chairs. In 1956 a new subsidiary was established, Evertaut Seating at Darwen, Lancashire to handle the seat manufacturing business; Evertaut Ltd continued in sheet metal.
